At the end of each inspection, I inform my client that they will receive a copy of my narrative report by Email that evening, and that a printed and bound copy will be sent priority mail the next business day (this has already been explained when the inspection was scheduled).
Next, I give them a "FREE GIFT" and leave them feeling good, and reassured that they hired the best inspector in the area. I hand the client the gift of a 48-page INSPECTION INFORMATION BOOKLET that I have authored and suggest that they review it while waiting for my final report to arrive. I explain that the booklet will answer many of their questions and is considered an addendum part of the report. The client is very appreciative, better informed and I seldom have to answer telephone calls for further clarification. The booklet elaborates on each aspect of the home inspection and special topic areas also.
If
you are a home buyer, you should purchase a copy to become a better informed
consumer.
